Unlock Your Creative Flow Reformer Workshop, 4 CEC's - 7/27
Open to Pilates teachers and intermediate/advanced Pilates students. Learn a system of guideposts of inviting creativity into your sessions without having to create a whole new method. In this workshop, we’ll engage into a laboratory-setting of movement and teaching strategies that will help you discover the strength and individuality of your teaching voice.
This is a Pilates Method Alliance approved course. A PMA CEC certificate will be provided to attendees upon workshop completion.

Pilates Equipment for Dancers, Teaching Techniques and Tools for Dancers and Advanced Students with Therese Laeger, 7/26
During this workshop we will explore Pilates exercises on both the Reformer and Tower that re-balance, re-connect and re-center the bodies of advanced level movers, from dancers to similar athletes. With a concentrated focus on building abdominal and hip strength, in tandem with alignment, attendees will learn techniques to guide their students to a better awareness of moving from "the center." Understanding builds with each exercise for the athlete, supporting a healthy dancing body over time.
Friday: Gateway to Movement - The Hip and Pelvis with Savannah Hein (Contact us for CEC info: firstname.lastname@example.org), 7/26
This workshops will introduce the anatomy of bony structures of the hip and pelvis, go over integral muscle groups that stabilize this region, and address both common hip injuries and dance specific injuries. Finally, the workshop will involve a movement component for attendees, and introduce mat exercises that will help provide hip mobility and stability for injury prevention and recovery. Content will lean towards therapeutic and corrective Pilates for dancers, but is widely applicable to the general population. ### Workshop Outline: 1. Overview and introduction to Workshop 2. Introduction to body structures of hip and pelvis 3. Muscles that comprise the hip/pelvis 4. Introduce common hip injuries and pathologies and introduce pilates exercises to prevent or reduce them. 5. Exercises for strengthening, stretching, and stabilizing hip and pelvic region. Attendees will use and learn mat exercises using props such as small balls and mini-bands.

In this workshop we will revisit the Classical order of the Advanced reformer exercises in a fun, supportive and informative small group. Upon reviewing choreography, we will thoroughly break down the transitions between the exercises. Working in teams, groups will take turns on the reformers to fluidly link a skill series, utilizing repetition to perfect transitions and timing for flow.
