Irene Naranjo

Irene began her dance journey at Susu’s Academy of Ballet and Jazz at the age of 3. Over the years, she participated and placed in several competitions such as Dance Masters, Jump, Monsters of Hip Hop and The Pulse, to name a few. During high school, she was the captain of her high school dance team, Titan Pride. After taking hiatus from dance, she finally returned and continued her dance education at the University of Alabama, where she majored in Dance. There she focused her studies on Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary styles such as Cunningham, Limon, Graham, and Alvin Alley. Throughout college, she was also a member of UA’s Hip Hop crew: RipTide.

Irene is now in Birmingham, AL teaching at FORMA Arts & Wellness! She has been in local Birmingham Latin Dance Companies such as Hearbeat Dance Company and is a current member of Corazon de Alabama. She has traveled around the state teaching at studios, such as Ignite Performing Arts in Huntsville, AL and Southern Dance Arts in Alabaster, AL. She has taken class from numerous professionals in the industry such as Chris Judd, Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Wade Robson, Nick Lazzarinni, Jorge & Maribel, Twitch, Wendy & Rodrigo Jimenez, Terri Atkinson, Javier Campiones, and Fernando Sosa!
