Megan grew up dancing at a small studio in central Florida. Following high school, she earned her Associate of Arts degree in Dance Performance from Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. She then pursued Athletic Training and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences - Athletic Training. While at UCF, she worked as an Athletic Training Student with various university and high school sports, including the UCF cheerleaders and Knightmoves Dance Team. After undergrad, she had the opportunity to work as an Athletic Trainer for the Alabama Crimson Tide cheerleaders and Crimson Cabaret dance team while earning her Master of Arts degree in Health Education and Promotion. Once graduated, she began working as an Athletic Trainer at Children’s Hospital of Alabama, initially with a local high school, then as an Athletic Trainer Physician Extender for an orthopaedic/sports medicine surgeon, and currently holds the position of Clinical Coordinator for the Sports Medicine Clinic. She also danced for three years with AROVA Contemporary Ballet here in Birmingham. She has a strong interest in Dance Medicine and continues to take and teach dance classes in her spare time.
