Whitney Renfroe has spent her entire life immersed in the arts and fitness industries. She began her dance training at a young age and continued on to study Dance Performance at Birmingham-Southern College on a merit based scholarship. After completing her degree, Whitney had the pleasure of enjoying a professional career in classical ballet, dancing soloist and principle roles with Atlanta Festival Ballet (2009-2010) and Birmingham Ballet (2010-2013). She then transitioned into contemporary dance, working as a company member for BoSoma Dance Company and SundanceX, both located in Boston, MA. During this stint on the east coast she also worked as an ACE certified personal trainer, spreading her passion for a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Upon moving back to Birmingham in 2015, she was inspired by the growth of her hometown and its flourishing arts scene. Whitney started Forma Arts + Wellness and is overjoyed to contribute this versatile space to the city, which hosts a community of talented artists, wellness advocates, and students. She continues to teach dance, yoga, and fitness and has also had the pleasure of presenting several original choreographic works throughout the country.
